Same here, executed update.php twice - I renamed the table and column by hand as this should haven been done by the script - error message is gone but now there is an endless loading spinner from the cache ("Statistik-Cache wird aktualisiert! Dieser Vorgang kann einige Sekunden dauern.").
Counter functionality is broken now.

I'm also interested in an official solution.

There is one left-over in the "plugins/lasthits/index.php" regarding the table.

And maybe you could replace this one https://randomous.com/blank.gif - as it delivers a 404.
