Hi
I have changed my website to a new webhost and now the Danish letters æ, ø  and å is looking strange - like this:

æ = æ
ø = ø
å = Ã¥

What can be the problem? It worked fine at my old webhost.

Maybe some settings in PHP or .htacess ?

Hi Henrik,

this seems to me that the webservers are supporting different charsets. You can have a look at this at phpinfo.
If you do not know how: Simply create a new php-file with the following content:

<?php phpinfo() ?>
. What kind of charsets are supported (search for "HTTP_ACCEPT_CHARSET")?

Did you specified the
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=..." />
in your header of the pages?

I have found a solution:

I removed this from the Danish language files: utf8_encode()

I just wonder why it worked on my old webhost and now on the new webhost ?
