Information about how to update the PHP Web Stat to Version 5.0

IMPORTANT INFORMATION!

Generally you have to make a backup of the stat folders LOG, BACKUP and CONFIG.
Also it is very important to follow our instructions exactly.

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS

In the Admin Center of your statistics, set the color scheme to "standard" and save the setting.

Put your statistics into maintenance mode (admin center / maintenance mode) and log out.

Now delete all files and folders on the server except the folders "backup" and "log".

Copy all files and folders of the new basic archive to your server in the statistics directory except the folders "backup", "log", and "manual" while keeping the structure.

From the backup (folder "config"), overwrite the following files in the folder "config" on your server:
config.php, config_db.php, pattern_site_name.inc, pattern_string_replace.inc und tracking_code.php.

Set the rights of the files using the online manual.

Now return to the Admin Center, log in, and click Save under Settings, even if you have not made any changes. Take your statistics out of maintenance mode now.

IMPORTANT ADJUSTMENT REQUIRED

Due to AdBlockers, the file name "track.php" has changed to "pws.php". This name change must be adjusted in the tracking code of your web pages. If you use the file config/tracking_code.php per PHP include, an adjustment is not necessary. Learn more
