on the counter, online shows zero at all times.
have a configured something wrong?

What are your settings for Visitors Online Time?

I think I am going to try a fresh install. I also have issues with using database instead of text file.

I see from your home page, in the lower-left corner, that you have mini-stat counter showing. Does that mean that you have solved the problem that you reported in the forums, where you say that you can not get the counter to show online users?

If that problem is not resolved yet, exactly what screen are you referring to?

the only thing not working is the "Online" counter.

OK, my bad, I had misunderstood what was not working. I see now that it is the little counter that is not working correctly, as you initially said when you posted the problem.

Without knowing how your stats are configured it's hard to find out.

If I look at the Sysinfo of your stats, behind 'cookie support' I see a red cross. Maybe that might be the culprit. However, I have no idea how to repair that.

Also the CHMOD settings of a lot of files don't look right, but I doubt that is the cause of not showing online visitors.

Maybe Holger can tell more about this.
