Hi - is it possible to display 'Total Visitors' count in plain text somewhere in my main page? (the accumulative total of all visits)

How to derive this info from pws?

please use our counter module for this reason:
https://www.php-web-statistik.de/manual/english/counter.html

If you really only need the total amount as a number, you can edit the counter.php appropriately according to your needs.
